What is the difference between sexylightbox and sexylightbox anywhere?
It seems both need to be configured, but neither seem to be able to do the following:
  • There will be several people accessing 'post' levels, the ability to post articles.
  • It does not see3m logical for them to have to lean how to cut & paste, and find IDs and such - code, in to their articles - since most will only have access to post articles, not the entire admin panel - just to add a lightbox link.

  • ARI email suggested I buy a few other things, and I did, but it does not explain how to add ARI to any [post article] template so that the person writes their article and saves it. ARI should auto-display the post with x number of teaser text, and a 'Show article' link to the proper full article into a lightbox.

I do not see much of a difference between either lightbox or lightbox anywhere except, one is a module the other system plugin.

As requested, I had sent a link to the pages, and was told that the link works. Yes, but each link in each article has to be hand cut & pasted. That is not what I was told one would have to do if I got lightbox stuff. I even switched to Ari slider in order to be more compatible.

As it stands, we are bust hand pasting and manually identifying which IDs to be used. A lot of work especially since article s will be up[dated, deleted, or added.

Is there not an explanation on how to use one link for all links? For example:

a menu:::

[ul]This is a teaser article with a lot of ipsum lorem .... More
This is a article about creating documents for the newbies... More
This is an article about Pickleball - the world's fastest growing sport ... More
[/ul]
As it is, We must add a separate link for each more. Which should be used and how, sexylightbox or sexylightbox anywhere?

Hello,

We suggested to use "ARI Sexy Links" plugin if you want to add the lightbox to existing links. It provides ability to select elements by CSS selectors and attach the lightbox to them. It is not necessary to enter an ID, for example if elements has the same CSS class, they can be selected by CSS class name. We sent instructions how to configure the plugin for your slider. If you want to add lightbox effect to other links, provide a link to a page where we can see links and we will help to configure "ARI Sexy Links" plugin.

ARI Soft

Couple of things. Yes, and I have Ari Sexy Links installed. But the instruction "select elements by CSS selectors and attach the lightbox to them" is what I don't get. Though I'm still trying

That is something I did not receive. I received a couple of ads for purses from the forum (spammers no doubt, but nothing else on how-to. I will send the link/s via email referring to this thread.

That email, is the same generic cut & paste I got before and asked the question "how".

One email asked for the link, and description of what I was doing. I had already done as suggested and installed the deal with Sexy Links.
The reply was that everything was working! But the Ari-tech looked at the wrong part

This is the exact reason I suggested a detailed manual with a few how-to, not a explanation that is too brief and technical.

I already went through 3 other similar programs like ARI stuff, and was very happy to find Ari, but wow, the others had excellent manuals and docs, but didn't do what I needed. Ari, as you told me, will do it, but without docs t interpret the email you assent, it's very hard.

Thanks anyway - I'll keep looking for something that does as well as Ari is described as being able to do, but with docs.
