I'm using ARI YUI menu for creating a drop down menu. I've been trying for hours now to get the CSS from the old menu, especially the black (parent)buttons in the top menu. I've used firebug but i just can't make up wich of the lines i should use to copy the layout.

Also the menu is vertically although i've selected the horizontal field.

Hope you guys can you help me? Do you need admin login?

I've taken a look at it. I think if you understand that documentation(with the codes and positions) you don't need joomla to create a website. It's going way to far for me..

I just need the same layout in the new menu as in the old. When i changed the property settings of the css loader file in the folder from ARI YUI module the buttons yui menu changed from white boxed menu items into horizontal text(without visible button). This is the first thing i don't get because all the other menus display as boxes.

I've already played with firebug for hours but the only thing that changes when i copy the old menu code into the css box at the admin>module>CSSbox is the font.

I don't know if you guys can take a look at it because i'm really frustrated after modding for hours with no result.

Joomla! menu modules don't use the same HTML layout so in common if you want to modify a menu design, it requires to add custom CSS rules and/or change HTML layout and it required to know new and old menu HTML layout and CSS rules so we provided the link to documentation where this information can be found.

Thanks for the reaction but i think you're missing the point. Joomla is designed for people that are not experts in web languages, if they would they wouldn't need Joomla right?. So if you refer to documentation that requires to understand al these languages,that not quite helpfull. If you have read my last post you know I already mentioned that i've read the thread and i can't make it work, but still you are reffering to that documentation.

That would be the same as someone who needs a quick fixs with windows to say just study the mircosoft manual of 400 pages.
