Hello,

"ARI Smart Content" v. 2.x is not compatible with "ARI Smart Content" v. 1.x because the extension was created from a scratch to match and use the latest Joomla! features and works in another way.

If you want to use v. 2.x instead of 1.x, it requires to totally uninstall v. 1.x and then install v. 2.x. It also require to change all plugin codes which are used for v. 1.x.
