Can't Install Smart-Content 11 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 0
Hi,
New to Ari. Just purchased Smart Content. The zip file did not say unzip in the title, so I tried to install it with extension manager but I get JFError and it does no install.
So I tried unzipping it and found no read.me file. I searched in the forum and found nothing.
Perhaps a kind soul here will advise me.

This error can occur if Joomla! is configured incorrectly. Check that correct path to "tmp" folder is specific in Joomla! settings. If FTP is enabled in Joomla! settings, try to temporary disable it.

This seems to be a good direction to head in.
A few more pieces of the puzzle.
The site actually runs on a server, but yesterday I installed and used akeeba backup on the server site, then did a kickstart restore on my iMac localserver and this is where I plan to initially learn Aritables and such.
Sure enough, akeeba left the old path to tmp in place (from the server). So I changed the path to tmp here locallly and it installed just fine.
Now to go play.......
Thanks for your fine support.
