Just purchased and installed smart book, and tested by creating a book to be placed on a page using a module.

The module shows on the page, but it's preceded by, probably 100+ lines of PHP errors all starting with:

Deprecated: Non-static method AriSmartBookSourceHelper::getPages() should not be called statically...

I'm using Joomla 3.8.x and PHP 7.0.1.

I have tried it with and without loading jquery. both with query no conflict enabled.

Anything specific you can think of that could be causing this?

The warning can be disabled on "System -> Global Configuration" page on Joomla! backend. Open "Server" tab and set "Error Reporting" parameter to "None".

Turned off error reporting as instructed. Flushed/deleted all cache files (server and browser).

PHP errors still showing as before.

What next?

We need to resolve this quickly, please.

The PHP script errors the module/plugin is causing is creating security warnings in our security system, forcing (two so far in the last two days) full security scans to purge potential malware.

I know it's not malware, but the security system is very sensitive to PHP scripting errors.

Otherwise, we're going to need to deactivate and uninstall the software.

Please advise ASAP.
