Lightbox not working -- 'jQuery is undefined' 10 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
I'm new to Joomla and to ARI Sexy Lightbox Lite, so I hope this is something easy. I just did a completely fresh installation of Joomla 3.0 and installed the ARI Sexy LightBox Lite plug-in. I created an article and pasted the sample html code from the plug-in page into the html editor in the article. When I bring up the page, I see the javascript error: 'jQuery is undefined' in the debug window. And when I click on the link, the lighbox doesn't come up. What am I missing?

Some additional information:
On the Basic Options page for the plug-in, I have the following settings:
Include jQuery Yes
Load jQuery Method Google CDN
jQuery NoConflict Yes

It works when I change "Load jQuery Method" to Local.

It works when I load jQuery locally, but not using Google CDN. I'm running it on localhost. Would that make any difference?

It is normal. Site templates which are included into Joomla! 3.0 load jQuery and when "Load jQuery" parameter is set to "Local copy", jQuery instance which is loaded by site template will be used.
