E mail problem 14 Years ago Karma: 0
Quiz results are not sent to the email which is mentioned at the stating of configuration.
Error message says:
"SMTP Error! The following recipients failed:"
please help me.....

Check that 'Mail settings' in Joomla! is configured properly.

The configuration i have used is below:
Mailer- SMTP Server
SMTP Security - ssl
SMTP PORT - 465
Mail from - webmaster@mydomain.com
send mail path - /usr/sbin/sendmail
SMTP Authentication- yes
SMTP USER NAME- webmaster@mydomain.com
password-*******
SMTP Host- mail.mydomain.com

But the error at the end of test given is
"SMTP Error! The following recipients failed:"

"ARI Quiz Lite" uses standard Joomla! API for sending mails. We can't check your mail settings. Other extensions on your site send mails without problems?

one more problem,
after the test is completed if the person click on the email button, email will be sent but the sender name will be blank.. could help in this atleast...

Donwload and re-install the component again, please. It should resolve the problem with empty sender name. The component will be used sender name from Joomla! mail settings.
