Pretty Photo on Webpage Load? 13 Years, 4 Months ago Karma: 0
I was looking around for a Joomla extension that would allow me to post a bulletin on my website during certain times. We use Joomla for our school webpage and when there is a cancellation, we need something that people will notice right away. I was thinking about a new custom module that I could post some content near the top of the screen, but then I got to thinking that I may already have a great module that would do this for me.

I was curious to know, is there anyway to load a webpage straight to an ARI Pretty Photo text box? I could type out that school has been cancelled, and each user would have to click off of the popup to visit our webpage.

Thank you in advance!

Hello,

Do you want to show specific text in the lightbox which will be shown when page is loaded or you mean something another?

Yeah, exactly. I use Pretty Photo for a school website so I would like to use PP to display annoucements such as "2 Hour Delay" or "School is Cancelled Today" when users first enter the site, and then from there, they have to close the lightbox to navigate the rest of the website.

You can create new module instance, set "Open on load" parameter to "Only once", choose "Inline content" value in "Choose type" drop-down, leave empty "Link text" parameter, type text which you want to display in lightbox into "Content" textarea, set "Menu Assignment -> Menus" parameter to "All". After this users will see necessary text in popup.

That works great! The only problem is that it seems it is conflicting with other PrettyPhoto content. I think I should be able to work out the conflicts and get everything squared away soon though. Thanks for the quick response! That is a huge help and will be a very valuable asset to our school.

If you provide link to page where we can see a conflict, we can try to help fix it.
