I'm actually trying to integrate 2 galleries per item on K2. I was hoping I could install ARI Pretty Photo, and link to each gallery using just a text link. Is this possible? If so, how?

You can use "System - ARI Pretty Photo Anywhere" plugin. For this set "Mode" parameter to "Anywhere" and use the next plugin code in a K2 item:
