Images heights problems 8 Years, 2 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi guys,

I have a question, I'm using your slider on my joomla website, and it resizes all my images to the width defined in the module, without considering the height value defined.
Actually it looks like the height value is not a limit.

Ex :
> I set width to 800 and height to 500.
> Image : 775x500 => the slider shows the image with a width = 800 => i'd like the slider to show 775x500 (controlled by height since width < reference width)
> Image : 900 x 900 => the slider shows 800x800 => i'd like to show 500x500 (controlled again in this case by height reference value)

This slider looks like to be only based on image width, and does not consider height at all.
Do you have a solution to that issue ?

Thanks in advance,

Aurelie

Hello,

Is it possible to see the problem anywhere?

here : www.aurelieneveu.com/

the real portrait photo is 547 x 800 => slider shows 800 x 1170
the square photo is 800 x 800 => slider shows 800x800 instead of 500 x 500

Set "Responsive" parameter to "Yes" in module settings if want to create a responsive slider. When "Responsive" parameter is set to "Yes", value of "Width" parameter is used as maximum width value for the slider.

Thanks for your answer, but this is not solving my problem.

If I set Width to 800 and Height to 500, the slider, whatever real width my image is, gives a width of 800, and calculates the height from that, whether it's greater or smaller than 500.
That's what's wrong.

If it's the basic rule (Width will always be equal to 800), then setting a value for height is useless, since the slider doesn't take into account.

1) How can I parameter the slider so that it always contains my full image ? ie. it resizes my image width AND height so that width after reduction <= 800 AND height after reduction <=500 ?

2) Is it possible for the slider NOT to fix the width to 800 if height limit (ie.500 in my example) has alreday been reached ?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Aurelie
