I also had one blank line in the image path and was getting the error...this post was very helpful!

Could you please post the syntax for referencing the image path to the images? in the image path for instance I wrote: image/stories/slideshow

The images are in slideshow. They display but I get a red error message that says:
"Folder: :files: Path is not a folder. Path: data/18/2/104/56/2593382/user/2844039/htdocs/joomla1"

Hello,

Check that value of "Image path" parameter doesn't contain empty string (unnecessary new line(s)).

thanks for the great help!
I discovered same problem, although I had no glue this error message was due to the blank line after the image path in the ari-slider. However this post solved my problem. An I am very glad, since the slides looks just great.
