We're using arismartbook for a newspaper, a 2 page spread. I have converted the PDF for preview to PNG files, the lowest quality I can use is 70, otherwise the text is too pixelated. The problem is that the pages take too long to download, the individual pages are 4878 x 6707 pixels in size and vary between 1MB and 2.9MB in file size.

It's such a pity as I really like the functionality. Has anybody an idea what I can change?

Could you send your PDF document by email?

PS: You can also change images manually or convert a PDF document using a 3rd party service like CloudConvert and upload the created images to your server.
