flexible padding

Hi
I try to build a responsive template and would need the right- aud left-padding in the extended menu to be flexible.

This is the URL I try it out:
www.musicsite.ch/responsive/

This is what I entered:
#topmenu .ux-menu li a {
padding: 10px 20% !important;
}
The padding still seems to be fix.

Hello,

Parent element ("LI") of "A" element has fixed width in pixels so padding of "A" element will have the same absolute value with any size of browser's window.

Thanks for your answer.
I tried to correct the padding in menu.min.css, but nothing changes. Is there any possibility, to make this flexible?
