The fix worked in joomla 1.5x but in joomla 2.5.4 it makes it so the drop downs don't work any more.

Where we can see a problem? It can be a problem with a 3rd party extension.

I have the same problem.

When I paste code that you posted above, it passes validation. But menu doesn't work anymore.
With original code - it works, but no passes W3C.

Here is link for my *removed*.

W3C validation is very important for me, because my clients requires w3c validated website.. I can make drop down menu with another script manualy, but your menu saves me some time.

firefox, last version.

Now it's works fine, because it's not with W3C valide code, but if I apply W3C valid code, that you posted above, it stops to work.
