Hi,

right now, we only have a $created tag, can we have a $published tag?

Hello,

Sorry, but it is impossible because Joomla! stores only "created" and "modified" dates. It doesn't store "published" date. You can see it in "jos_content" table in Joomla! database.

Yes it does,

you even have an option in the General options in the Article manager to show only the published date :

Show Publish Date Hide | Show

the tab in the databse is JOS_publish_up

Try to use {$publish_up} predefined variable. It should work.
