in the control panel if I select a category to display , save and reopen , the category is not saved and nothing is displayed on the website same thing for article ids as is it is impossible to do anything with it these values cannot be changed -->

If you use Joomla! 1.6, check that "System - ARI Extensions" plugin is installed and enabled. Regards, ARI Soft
