TOPIC: Inject SQL code on the fly

Congratulations for the good work!

Here is my question:

I need to inject the SQL code to the plugin instead of adding it in advance in a module. In other terms, I need to construct the SQL code dynamically. This is due to I need to supply the user with various links that lead to the same page however with different 'WHERE' clauses ...

<I do code>

Is this possible?

Hello,

No, this is impossible. The module only provides ability to use some predefined variables in SQL query like user id, user name and other.

OK - never mind.

Keep this idea as future development. I see here a need possibly, the code to be converted to a component that would accept input (post data) from a form (the select statement could be passed from a hidden field).

And then provide a view based on the data passed ...

Thanks anyway.

Ooops - there is a reasonable workaround:

Keep a temporary table that will be updated on the fly. Do the SELECT on this table ... fixed.

We are going to add possibility to use request variables in SQL query in a future release.
