I had a huge problem with a Joomla installation.

After an upgrade from 3.8.13 to 3.9 there was
- no access to the front-end available
- a very restricted access to the functions of the back-end existing

Making different tests like restore, new update, new installation based on backup, changing element by element ended with the resultat that everything works well if I don't add the folder plugins/content/aridatatables.

Maybe an non-comptability to Joomla!3.9?

There are two other installations where I'm using Ari Smart Content Table and where I have some update problems - but on the other hand side there are also Joomla installations where I have a well running Joomla!3.9 and Ari Smart Content elements?!

It was finally the same problem on all three installations which didn't upgrade automatically to Joomla!3.9.

I had to uninstall the ARI Data Table Plugin BEFORE I started the update to Joomla!3.9.

ARI Smart Content Data Table works without any issues!

I have same issue here. If i disable the plugin Aridatables in database the front & backend are working again.

Update would be great!!

To ErikReezigt and HeinzP: check that you use the latest version of the extension 1.16.4. It is available in "Member Area" on our site.

I have all my tables replace by ARI Smart Data Tables. Therefore it is not anymore an issue for me!
