In June I've downloaded the ari data table. But if I had known how complicated it would be to get my first data table on my page, I wouldn't done it.

Where can I get a short step by step description for people who haven't studied computer science in a university to know how to handle your program ?

Your software has features over features and a lot of options. But I just want a data table with html or csv running on my page, that's all.

Tutorial how to use the module is available on module settings page in "Description" field.

If you want to show data from CSV file, you can leave all settings with default values, set "Choose source type" parameter to "CSV" and enter path to your CSV file in "CSV -> Path to CSV file" parameter.

I know this. I'm not asking questions out of the blue. Nonetheless thanks for your reply.

I don't know where this csv-file should be displayed on my page.
Within the ARI data tables module I simply get the well known messega:
"no data available"

Probably you entered an incorrect path to CSV file. Could you provide a link to a page where you use the module and a temporary access to your J! backend by email so we can investigate the problem?

I've recognized that I haven't uploaded and aktivated the Plugin System Ariextensions.

While uploading I get the error: "There coudn't be find a xml-setup data in this package."

What Joomla! version do you use? "ARI Extensions" plugin is required only for Joomla! 1.6+.
