Ari Table Tutorial 13 Years ago Karma: 0
Hi guys.

I have just installed the Ari Table data module into Joomla. To be honest I thought it would be much easier to use. Is there a step by step tutorial, article or thread that can get me started on what to do next?

Thanks

Hello,

Open module settings page and click "Detailed help here" link in "Description" field. After this popup with documentation is appeared:

That helped me as much as a rock and a sledge hammer.

This is what I want to do:

I have created a form using another component. The form captures the data and I can see the data on the backend of Joomla in the component. Now I want to click on a link that will pull that data into a simple table on a page on my joomla! site.

Oh and I am using 1.5.23

Hello,

If your form component stores data in database, potentially it is possible to specify SQL query which will select data in "ARI Data Tables" module settings, but we don't know db tables structure of your form extension. We can try to help if you provide more information or provide temporary access to your Joomla! backend by email and describe what data and from what extension do you want to show.

Hello,

same problem here. No problem to install the extention and find the "Detailed help here" button in the module.
Anyhow it doesn't really help me to understand how to use this module.

I just miss the simple things to start:
- how do I select a table from mySQL db or other sources
- how do I select the required fields.
etc. etc.

And yes I do not have any mySQL programming experience

A tutorial for dummies would be really helpfull
