Re:Linking images to specific URL 13 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi,

I have a problem with having URL
linked to my photos that I put
in the jooma catalogue:
images/stories/icons/

This is how my ini file looks like:

[TITLE]
china.jpg="china"
news.jpg="news"

[DESCRIPTION]
china.jpg="china"
news.jpg="news"

[LINK]
china.jpg="www.google.com"
news.jpg="www.onet.pl"

and in images/stories/icons
i have 2 jpg files: china and news

I put ini file in the fotos catalogue
in joomla.

and i can not still have working
URL when i click on the fotos on the page

Can u tell me where i have done mistake?

Hello,

Could you provide link to page where we can see the issue and screenshot of the page with module settings or temporary access to your Joomla! backend by email that we can investigate this issue?

Regards,
ARI Soft

<joomla_directory>/images/storied/icons/ didn't contain aricloudcarousel.ini file. We added it and now the module uses links and shows titles and descriptions.

I am also trying to get the images to link to pages on the site. I tried creating the ini file as shown in the example but the links are only going to the image and not to the html page. Also no titles show up. Am I doing something wrong Here's the copy of my ini file:

[TITLE]
images/kids-books-2/book-dare-to-dream.png="Dare to Dream"
images/kids-books-2/book-hot-issues-cool-choices.png="Hot Issues, Cool Choices"
images/kids-books-2/book-if-you-had-to-choose.png="If You Had to Choose, What Would You Do"
images/kids-books-2/book-keepin-it-real.png="Keepin' It Real"
images/kids-books-2/book-its-up-to-you.png="It's Up to You, What Do You Do"
images/kids-books-2/book-me-myself-i.png="Me, Myself and I"
images/kids-books-2/book-they-stood-alone.png="They Stood Alone"

Hello,

INI file should be located in folder with image, in your case this is <joomla_directory>/images/kids-books-2/ folder. Content of INI file should look like:

Code:

[TITLE]
book-dare-to-dream.png="Dare to Dream"
book-hot-issues-cool-choices.png="Hot Issues, Cool Choices"
[LINK]
book-dare-to-dream.png="kids-books/dare-to-dream.html"
book-hot-issues-cool-choices.png="kids-books/hot-issues-cool-choices.html"

PS: One note, file names are case-insensitive.

ARI Soft

I removed the 'description' portion of the ini file since I'm not using that (as shown in your example) and it still doesn't work. And yes, the file has been located in the correct folder this whole time. What I am seeing is that instead of linking to the html page, it is just opening up a page with the image (even though the 'link' points to the html page).

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.
