ini-file: trying to link directly to another pictu 10 Years, 9 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello and Good morning

I am new here and first of all I want to thank you for this wonderful great module. It was easy to install and works fine for me from the first moment.
So far so good I’ve reached a point where I need help. I am using Joomla 2.5.18.

Question: Is it possible to link directly to another picture in the LINK-part in the ini-file?

Example:

[LINK]\
1.jpg=„mypage.com/images/test/example.jpg“\

The link works directly given to the browser but given with the ini-file it leads to a 404-error.

The problem:

During the way through the ini-file the link is changed to mypage.com/images/test/example.jpg/ . The slash at the end causes the 404-error.

Can you please help me finding a solution?

Have a nice time and thank you for your attention.

Best regards

Hello,

It doesn't require any / in INI file. It should look like:

[LINK]
1.jpg="mypage.com/images/test/example.jpg"

Thank you for your quick answer.

Sorry if I am not clear or if I don’t get you right.

The carousel works fine with (in the example) 1.jpg.

But clicking on 1.jpg I wish example.jpg to come up.

Am I wrong that this has to be realized via the LINK section in an ini file?

Regards,

hinki

Links which are defined in INI file can be opened into a lightbox, loaded into a new window in browser or opened in the same browser's window (in this case the page will be reloaded and only the selected links will be loaded).

Thank you for this fine description.

I’ve tried all these application possibilities with the same result.

Error 404

Even so I tried to open the link (mypage.com/images/test/example.jpg) in the browsers Opera, Safari, FireFox and Chrome - it works without any error.

The result of my investigations is, that when I send the link through ARI Cloudcarousel it puts a slash (/) at the end of the link and that causes the 404 Error.

Please can you help me.
