i am not sure i am correct on this please correct me if i am wrong.

in joomla 1.5 i have 2 carousels on 2 seperate pages and have found that i can not use the same position on both pages

page 1) games
page 2) games

if i do i end up with both carousels on both pages so what i have done is made a second position like below

page 1) position games
page 2) position games1

is this correct or did i miss something?

also does the update for 1.7 work the same way meaning i have to add new positions for each new page and carousel.

the reason is ask is i am the president of the local booster club for our high school football team and we like to have all the games pictures up on the site but i have 5 years worth of pictures to load with 20 games a year (10 varsity and 10 junior varsity) that would be 100 positions i have to add not to mention camp bbq sr dinners and so on

if i have to add all the positions maybe you have another program that i could use one position

(EDIT) same question for lightbox as well

Hello,

If you want to use the same settings for all carousel and only change "Image path" parameter, you can use "Modules Anywhere" plugin and override necessary parameter(s). You can read about it here.

ok i have read and installed the module from this article i have tried using the following code


i see the carousel along with the buttons all works until i click on a picture then i get a 404 - Category not found error and no lightbox

i have the modules anywhere activated and lightbox activated as well

It seems this problem with SEF. Could you provide temporary access to your J! backend by email so we could investigate the issue?

Well I think I got it the sef module showed it was active but it was not I uninstalls it then reinstalled it and it works
Strange but the next test will be adding the second carousel lol we will see if I can screw this up thanks for the help.
