As requested I took a copy offline and did as you suggest and the formatting works perfectly when the article displayed normally. This indicates that the issue is with Sexy lightbox.

Open the link which we provided our previous post. Joomla! can show pages in full view (with header, footer and other elements) and in component view (without header, footer and other elements). "ARI Sexy Lightbox" shows articles in component view and seems your site template doesn't load background and other styles for component view. We can recommend to contact site template developers so they extend site template.

This version of the site is built on an rt-gantry template and is not custom built. This is a standard Rocket Theme template and the Sexy Lightbox still has the issue, which negates any problem with custom built templates.

PS: If you want to show articles with header, footer and other elements, remove "tmpl=component" parameter from "Read more" link.
