I'm not having any luck getting my descriptions to show up. Is there a sample, working .ini file I can work from?

Thanks awfully much. I've used that as a model, and uploaded it to the same directory where the slider images are located, but I'm not getting anything showing up on my slider. Would you be willing to take a look and see if you can tell what might be wrong? My website is: www.thecht.org.

You use modified version of the module. We suppose it modified by your site template developers. They disabled ability to show image captions by the next CSS rule in <joomla_directory>/templates/theme694/css/template.css file:

.nivo-caption {
...
display: none !important;
...
}

If you comment this line, caption will be shown, but it will be shown in incorrect position. We can recommend to contact site template developers that they add ability to use captions.
