I think many of them are over 200 or 300K and there are many of them.
what is a good or recommended image size and what is the recommended maximum number of images per folder?

Looking closer at some of the images I see some are over 3MB each in the Nepal folder...
My apologies I didn't realise they were so large!

I'd really appreciate if you could still give some guidance on the recommended average size of images and number of images for each folder.
I was considering perhaps ten or twenty per folder?

It depends on available memory so you can try to find appropriate image count manually.

i just made two sub folders with only 10 pictures in each but only one folder shows?
wouldn't the amount of memory depend on the numer of pictures to be displayed? so with two folders of 10 pictures each that would be the same as one folder of 20.
Therefore, if aone folder with all of the pictures works, I would expect two folders with a total of 20 to work?
