I can see in the Quiz:Update screen that it is possible to tick a 'Random Question' checkbox.

My understanding is that this will randomise the order of, say 10 questions in a list of 10 questions.

What I would like to do is have a pool, of say 100 questions, and randomly select 40 questions from that pool.

Is this possible? Again, apologies if I've missed this option somewhere.

You can create 100 questions directly in a quiz and set up options to select only 40 questions and do it randomly.

hi, this might be a bit off topic but i once made a site for a customer using the joomla lms component

At that time there were no question bank feature and i paid to have one develloped according to my description.

The way this works in joomla lms IMO is very intuitive.

You make a question bank by adding question to the bank and assign the question to a category.

When making a quiz

you simply select the categories from whom to draw questions from and set how many questions to put into the quiz.
This way when having a sound question base, you can make unique quizzes in a minute.

Joomla LMS is a complex solution and overkill for many that is why I am here looking into to this quiz component, and off course ari quiz is much cheaper too.

We are going to add the feature to put several questions from bank to quiz in one of future releases.

We always post updates as news on our main page and there is also RSS feed if you are interested.
