I'm confused with Quizzes, Quiz Categories, Question Categories. I have created a Quiz in the Quizzes tab and given it a name'. I have created a Quiz Category and given it a name. I have created a Question Category and given it a name. When I create a question in the Question Bank, the Category list only has 'none' in it. I assume this should be a selection of the Question Categories?

What have I done wrong?

I am a bit confused by it all - a clearer explanation of how all these relate to each other and how they can be used for different applications and quizzes would be very helpful to show exactly what ARI Quiz is capable of. Does this exist?

Hello,

Question category is used only for questions refers to quiz, for questions from question bank please use bank categories. You can create it in 'Bank Categories' section.

Is the hierarchy:

Quiz Categories
---->Quizzes
-------->Question Categories
------------>Question Bank

for normal questions and:

Bank Categories
---->Question Bank

for Bank questions?



If I just want one simple quiz, do I ignore Quiz Categories, create a Quiz and a single Question Category and assign all the questions to this Question Category?

I've created a Question Category, but this doesn't appear in the drop-down list in a question in Question Bank - the only selection in 'none'. Surely it should be in the drop-down list?

Hierarchy for normal question is:
Quiz Categories
---->Quizzes
-------->Question Categories

Bank category feature helps in structuring questions in the question bank. It is very useful in question searching if the question bank contains large volume of questions. Simple quiz, which will contain a few questions, can be created without any question categories.

I've created two Question Categories, but neither of them appear in the drop down Category box under Main Settings in a question in the Question Bank. All I get is 'none'. See attached doc of screen shots. Why is this happening?

Well I would attach screen shots if you allowed pdf files or I could make them less that the 120 kB limit you've set.
