Sure, it is possible. Joomla! can create as many module instances as you want. For this open "Extensions -> Module Manager" page on Joomla! backend and click "New" button or select existing module and click "Copy" ("Duplicate" in Joomla! 1.6) button.

I have a problem with two ari image slideshow on the same page in Joomla 3.4.1
If I change the second slider with another logernamed directory then it fails. Black spot and the other slider disappears.

Only if the path of the second module is shorter then the first one then it works.

f.e.
firts slider ;; images/random
second slider images/media >> that does not work.

second slider only images >> that works

I hope you can help me.
