Install, enable and configure "System - ARI Colorbox Links" plugin and enter the code in "" parameter:

Use "External Link" menu item type in Joomla! menu manager. It provides ability to assign menu item with external link, but in this case use the next code for "Elements CSS selectors" parameter:
