Howdy and thanks for your help!


1) We need the captions(aka 'Title') working and so, my question is obvious.

Facts:

1) Installed in Joomla 2.5
2) Have slideshow working using path "images/tree_of_life"
3) But INI file not working.
4) I tried the alternative of just writing the captions/titles into the 'Default Descriptions' field, but (in my humble opinion) the instructions are about as obtuse and esoteric as recipe for Coca Cola. They could be written in a clearer way (in my Humble opinion)

Any help would be appreciated,

1)
I created the INI file in the image folder. (It was originally in the Joomla language file named "ariimageslider.sys.ini" ) But after following the instructions and placing the code:

2)
[DESCRIPTION]
aaaaaa.jpg="This is text."
bbbbb.jpg="This is text."

It would not work. (I read a previous ARI-Soft forum and made sure that all text was in small letters, so font size should not be the problem).

3) I would much rather have the captions in the INI file inside Joomla language file just exactly the way the developer designed it but it's not working for me so I'll be happy to take it anyway I can.

Read the instructions carefully please. INI file should be located in folder with images. It doesn't requires to add something to folders with language files which are by Joomla!.

First, thanks for your reply. I've been busy until today so couldn't write back. Since then, I've followed your instructions to the fullest of my understanding and I still have not figured in how to make this slider work with captions.

I sure it's me and not the slider. So, once again, I sincerely appreciate you patience and help!

1) The image slider is working showing the image file.
2) I created (see attachment) the INI file and placed it in very same folder as my images, with my images.
3) I wrote the name of this INI file as "ariimageslider.ini" and wrote that on the ARI parameters pg .
4) I wrote that name in the box titled "Description File'. (see attachement 2 )

5) The slider continues to work great but there still is no captions.

6) What am I doing wrong?

[1a.jpg]=[Enos in Prayer Edition]
[1b.jpg]=[Enos in Prayer Edition]


I then placed it in very same folder as my images, with my images.

3) I wrote the name of this INI file as "ariimageslider.ini" and wrote that on the ARI parameters pg .

4) I wrote that name in the box titled "Description File'. (see attachement 2 )

5) The slider continues to work great but there still is no captions.

6) What am I doing wrong?
