have updated now to latest version. have set load method to DOM Ready unfortunately still the same effect additional information: while slider is loading you are able to force the first picture by clicking on the slide navigation arrow your further assistance is very much appreciated - thx - maranius

"ARI Image Slider" is based on nivoSlider jQuery plugin and it is implemented in way to load slider images before starting work. Regards, ARI Soft

for test purpose I reduced to only 2 images of appr. 25kB. Result: same amount of delay. Loading 50kB should not be the reason for any delay. interesting: the demo of this template uses the same slider and without delay - see URL: www.joomspirit.com/template-joomla/template_35/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1&Itemid=104&lang=en Any clue what makes the difference? thx - maranius
