Events source - Joomla! Articles
This events source provides ability to define selection parameters which will be used to get Joomla! articles and each selected article will be a separate event in the calendar. It is possible to define the following parameters:
- Articles count is used to specify how many articles should be selected. If the parameter is set to 0, all articles that match the criteria will be selected.
- Exclude featured articles is used to exclude/include articles which are marked as Featured.
- Categories is used to specify the categories of which will be selected articles.
- Invert category selection is used to invert categories selection. If the parameter is set to "Yes", articles will be selected from all content categories except the categories which are selected in "Categories" parameter.
- Include sub-categories allows to specify whether be selected articles from the subcategories or not. If the parameter is set to "Yes", the extensions will select articles from categories which are selected in "Categories" parameter and all sub-categories of these categories.
- Included articles is used to specify articles which will be selected despite of other search parameters. Enter comma-separated articles ID. For example: 5,16,25
- Excluded articles is used to specify articles that will not be selected despite of other search parameters. Enter comma-separated articles ID. For example: 21,36
- Sort is used to specify how the selected articles should be sorted. Select a field and sorting direction.
- All day event is used to mark the events as all data events or not.
- Start date field is article field which will be used to populate start date field in events. This field is mandatory.
- End date field is article field which will be used to populate end date field in events.
- Title template is used to specify what fields from article will be used as title for event. It is possible to use some predefined variables which will be replaced with fields from articles. The following variables are supported:
- {$id} contains article ID
- {$title} contains article title
- {$introtext} contains intro text
- {$fulltext} contains full text
- {$readmore_link} link to article page. It is not a HTML hyperlink, it contains only link, but it can be formatted as you want. For example the following code create a simple HTML hyperlink:

- Description template is used to specify what fields from article will be used as description for event. The same predefined variables like for Title template parameter.
