I am doing this for a client and I entered in the temporary license key as well the mambot is published but the code is still showing in the front end ...no thumbs. Plus, I notice your instructions lack the info on how the path is done to the pictures folder (which resides in the images/stories/profiles/ folder in this clients joomla 1.x site. So any idea why the code is showing and not the thumbs?

The reasons may be:

1. You should enter the valid license key: Components->ARI Thumbnail->License.
2. You should enable the plugin (mambot) if it is not enabled.
3. The thumbnail string should be similar to the next:
{arithumb src="images/stories/profiles/image1.jpg" srcSmall="images/stories/profiles/image1_small.jpg"}
with no line breaks and spaces before closing bracket.

If your image is stored in "images/stories/profiles/" folder then you should indicate this folder while using ARI Thumbnail.

Ok... I used this:

{arithumb src="images/stories/profiles/alexandria/img08685.jpg" group="group"}

The thumbnail now shows and works when I add the actual file name of the picture, however, if I take the image "img08685.jpg" out and just keep the folder where the pictures are, nothing shows. Am I to assume this mambot does not generate a complete thumbnail gallery group on the page and each of the images needs

{arithumb src="images/stories/profiles/alexandria/img08685.jpg" group="group" overlayShow="true" overlayOpacity="capacity"}

to show a gallery of thumbs in the page and then the group attribute is what adds the next and previous arrows in the popup?

I just tried this... so your site and product is a misleading in "important information", unless we didn't see this written somewhere but it does look like for each thumbnail to show on a page as a gallery, you have to use that mambot line of code for each picture and then the group attribute is what makes them all viewable as a full gallery in the popup.

If this is true, you need to inform your customers on your website that this does not auto generate a full gallery display of thumbnails in their web page.

All these features are included in the product. The product is intended for creation of thumbnails and image preview. It also allows to group single images in groups.

Anyway thanks for your words, we will think about adding feature to let user pass the folder pass and preview all images in the folder via gallery.

We've made a decision to realize functionality to generate the gallery for all images in the folder. This will be available as free update next week.
