CSS changes

HI,

I have a few changes I would like to make to the menu. Can I just edit the CSS file or do I need to add new CSS in the module manager?
These are the changes I want to make:
• Have left line appear on left most menu item.
• Make menu text larger.
• Have menu aligned to the right.
• Change hover to black box with white text.
