Thanks. Do you have problem only with 'ARI JCycle' plugin or with other plugin too? If only with 'ARI JCycle', check that it installed. This plugin from 'Plugins repository' and it doesn't come with the component by default, but you can download it from 'Plugins repository' and install it. You can find installation instructions in readme.txt file which comes in plugin archive file.

The JCycle was just the one I was using to see if it was working. How do I find out which ones are included with the component by default ?

You can find plugins which are included to the component by default in the component description and you can find all installed plugins on 'Components->ARI Smart Content->Plugins' page on your Joomla! backend.

May be you have possibility switch your site to online mode that we can investigate this issue? If it's impossible, check that 'ARI Smart Content' plugin is enabled, check code in article, if you use WYSIWYG editor and use copy-paste for inserting code, check that editor didn't add some extra HTML tags which can broke plugin code.
