Is ARI Smart Content compatible with PHP 7 and Joomla 3.5? I was having some problems and I reinstalled ARITables and they work. But when I try to re-install ARI Smart Content the Admin component gets an error. It gives this error:
An error has occurred.

0 Call to undefined function set_magic_quotes_runtime()

I think because I'm using php7, and magic quotes is deprecated, that we need to update some of the code in order to make it compatible with php7

Hello,

The latest version of "ARI Smart Content" (v. 2.2.28) is working fine with Joomla! 3.5 and PHP 7.

BTW, "ARI Smart Content" v. 2.x doesn't contain "set_magic_quotes_runtime" PHP code.

ARI Soft

Thank you for your prompt reply!

OK, the magic quotes error message is gone.

Now when I have both components active and I switch to php7, I get this error when trying to access the admin component:

An error has occurred.
0 syntax error, unexpected 'new' (T_NEW)

And the admin component wil not load.

When I switch back to php 5.6, that error message disappears.

I can give you access to the back-end if you want.

Could you provide a temporary access to your J! backend by email so we can investigate the problem?

Also, I noticed in my member download area is see this: ARI Smart Content: DataTable Pack v. 1.9.4

And not version 2.0. This is likely an issue as well!

How can I download the most recent version?

I just sent login credentials as requested.

Also, just send me an email when you want me to flip it to PHP 7 and I'll do so.

Thanks!
