I am a Joomla beginner, i need help! i bought ARI Smart Content and ARI News Pack.

I am trying to create tab's for my content, i am not sure how i should do it... can you please help me i need a walk thru with detail steps to create TAB for articles, thank you in advance i would really appreciate if anyone see this request and respond, thanks

I want to load 3 articles (3 Tab) from specific categories

Example: Sections name Paintings

Paintings has lots of categories like Oil Painting, Acrylics, Water-color and so con...

Example 1:
Category 1: Oil Painting (have 3 articles (3 Tabs))

Tab 1: Article name "About the Oil paintings"
Tab 2: Article name "How to paint"
Tabe 3: Article name "Techniques"


Category 2: Acrylics (have 3 articles (3 Tabs))

Tab 1: Article name "About the Acrylics paintings"
Tab 2: Article name "How to paint"
Tabe 3: Article name "Techniques"


Example 2:
If possible i would also like to have a Sub-Tabs for each main Tabs. like the above example 1 for Oil paintings


Category 1: Oil Painting (have 3 articles (3 Tabs))

Main Tab 1: Article name "About the Oil paintings" (have 3 Sub articles (2 Sub-Tabs))

Sub-Tab 1: Sub-Article name "Examples"
Sub-Tab 2: Sub-Article name "Oil References"


If the Example 2 is not doable it's fine but i would like create Example 1 which will have lots of categories, I really appreciate for taking time to explain the steps to this task, thank you so much

Unfortunately plugin doesn't support sub tabs. Regarding the first example, you can type the following code in article:



type necessary category id instead of [category_id]. This code will show all articles from selected category, if you want to load only 3 artciles, add articleItemCount="3" parameter to {arijtabview} tag.

I am so sorry, it's not working . Do i need to install the JCE Editor in order to insert the code.... when i was trying to insert code in the article, the code is visible in the content. As i mentioned earlier i am beginner of joomla, please Help!


these are the steps i did, i created 3 articles, later i created one category and then a section. when back to the 3 articles selected the section and category from the drop-downlist and the inserted the the code using insert code button.


Should i need put code in content HTML?

Do i need put any other script tags for the code you provided?

FYI, Select Menu Item Type i am using the Article >> Article Layout.


Do you have any tutorials in your site for beginners regarding the creating Tabs for content?

If you use WYSIWYG editor, insert plugin code in 'HTML' mode bacause in 'Design' mode editor can add extra HTML tags which can brake correct plugin code. If you provide temporary access to your Joomla! backend by email, we'll investigate this issue and say how to fix it.
