If the current smart version is bought, can it be upgraded to 1.7 later - or will it be bought again

All extension's updates are available during a year after purchase. BTW, "ARI Smart Content" for J! 1.6+ will be ready today or tomorrow.

"ARI Smart Content" v. 1.8.0 is compatible with Joomla! 1.6 and 1.7.

I bought ARI Smart Content today as in recent events you have posted
"ARI Smart Content v. 1.8.0 is ready. New version is compatible with Joomla! 1.5, 1.6 and 1.7 and it is released under GNU GPL license."

This is deceptive! After purchasing I find that the version of ARI Smart Content I have purchased will not install under Joomla 1.6.6.

I am very disapointed. Where can I download the version which is compatible with Joomla 1.6 and 1.7?
