auto page display mode not fully working?

We have the "pages display mode" inside our book template set to "auto" and we have the "double page min width" set to 700.

Our flip book can change from 2 page to 1 page, but then cannot change back to 2 pages afterwards. Do you know if this is a bug? We see the same behavior if we try it on a desktop browser and a mobile browser (tried latest version of firefox and chrome).

I can send you a link to an example page we have set up if necessary. Do you have a way to privately send you such a link?
