problem with sorting 8 Years, 7 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi,

I made a Smartbook with articles and use 4 caregories. Sorting none. Recently I added articles to these categories. Smartbook is showing these new articles at the end of the smartbook. So I see now the old articles category 1-2-3-4 and then the new articles category 1-2-3-4. What I need is the sorting of the articles how I put it in the categories, so articles category 1 (old-new), articles category 2 (old-new), articles category 3 (old-new), articles category 4 (old-new). I tried al types of sorting but nothing works.

Can you tell me how to get the sorting right?

Regards.

Hello,

You can select fields which will be used to sort articles using "Sort" parameters section on "Pages source" tab on book settings page. For example it is possible to sort by IDs, created date, ordering and etc., but it doesn't support ability to show sort somehow by categories and then sort articles inside categories.

Hello,

when I use Included articles as page source (and not the categories), will it use the order wich I filled in, like 436,437,504,505,464,465? So I want to show the articles in this order. When I sort by None or Ordering I get as a result 436,437,464,465,504,505 or some other messy thing. Is it possible to get the order as I filled in?

Thanks

"Included articles" and "Excluded articles" parameters are used only to specify what articles should included/excluded, it doesn't affect on sorting. Only values from "Sort" parameters section are used to sort the selected articles.
