Is it possible to have two different slideshows on two different Joomla! articles?

i guess you just have to create all slide modules you want to use, dont give them any position. after that make sure you have plg_content_arislider.zip installed and then load your modules in your articles with:

Hello,

Joomla! modules can be loaded into articles with help of "Content - Load Module" standard Joomla! plugin or with help of "Module Plant" or "Modules Anywhere" 3rd party plugins.

Your own plugin is better for that.

content - load module can only load positions or modules itself, so you would load all arisliders instead of one chosen.. at least that happend for me... so i stick to ID based selection

OK but I'm not sure how to create multiple slide modules. Can't you just have only one?

Joomla! supports ability to create as many module instances as you want. You can read about it here.
