Using the module, I can have a slideshow which has just one pic visible to begin with, eg:

www.hps-norfolkandsuffolk.org.uk/demo25/index.php/events/events-past/201-gressenhall

Is it possible to do the same with the plugin?

Your instructions say that the same parameters apply but I have tried various combinations of the Module paramater 'Visible items count' without any effect on the plugin.
