This is a problem to show links from left menu in lightbox because menu module navigates to menu links with help javascript. This approach can also cause problem with search engines because they don't see these links.

I'm confused. in a previous post you said it could be done with a top menu item using ARI sexy links. is this a problem because of left position?

It is not a problem with menu position, this is the problem with your menu module. It is not a problem to attach the lightbox menu item if a menu module uses normal HTML layout (for example <A> tag with "href" which contains link), but your module doesn't contain link in HTML elements, it navigates to links with help javascript.

If I can't use it on a javascript menu then I will need at look elsewhere. Can i get a refund?

It can be used with javascript menu, but when it uses standard HTML layout. If you can't change your menu module, contact us by email please that we can discuss your question about refund.
