I guess this is an old problem, but nonetheless:

I have installed ARI Smart Content and am trying a test scroll. However, having pasted the code in, I find it doesn't work, just displays all the code and content. You can see it at:
www.john-elkington.net/joomla15
and then click on the last menu item 'Scroll'.
Help appreciated.
John

Hello,

It seems that you use WYSIWYG editor and 'copy-paste' for adding plugin code, but usually in this case WYSIWYG editor add extra HTML tags which can brake plugin code. Try to insert plugin code in plain text (HTML code) mode.

Thanks for your quick reply. Are you saying that if the plugin code is preceded by a <p> tag and concludes with a </p> tag it won't work?

You can use any HTML tags in content which you want to scroll, but it isn't acceptable use it between plugin parameters.

I now have the code without any html tags at all. The content is displayed in the box, but there is no scrolling movement. Looking at the page source, there is no reference to jscroller2.js, as is the case with your demos. Is this the cause?

Yes, it's cause and it seems that you use incorrect plugin or module for removing MooTools javascript library from your Joomla! site, it looks like this plugin or module removes all javascript files includes which are included through standard Joomla! API. We can help you, if you say which extension you use for this purpose or provide temporary access to your Joomla! backend by email (info@ari-soft.com).
