Hi

I'm struggling to get Ari Quiz working how I need and am hoping someone can help.

What I am looking to have is a quiz with a total of 100 questions.

The 100 questions should be made up of 4 categories of questions, 25 questions from each category randomly displayed.

The front end quiz should then display each category of questions, 25 at a time, category by category, e.g.

Page 1 - 25 questions from category 1
Page 2 - 25 questions from category 2
Page 3 - 25 questions from category 3
Page 4 - 25 questions from category 4

On completion a thank you page, not showing any results, just a thank you message with the results emailed to the admin.

I've tried setting up 4 categories of questions but cannot get them to display 25 on a page by category, they're always random across all categories.

Can anyone from Ari Soft help? Happy to pay for some dedicated support if needed.

Hello,

1. Open "Additional settings" tab on quiz settings page and set "Paging" parameter to "Separate by categories" value. Questions from different questions categories will be shown on separate pages.

2. Create 4 question categories inside the quiz (click by "Folder" icon on quizzes page to open quiz question categories page). Set "Question count" parameter to 25 value in question categories settings. Set also "Main settings -> Random questions" parameter to "Yes" in quiz settings. As result 25 random questions will be selected from each question category.

3. Create a text template which you want to show at the end of the quiz on "Text templates" page on component backend and a mail template which will be used in mail which is sent to administrator(s) at the end of the quiz on "Mail templates" page. Open quiz settings page and set "Results settings -> Show detailed results" parameter to "Never", select the created text template in "Choose template type -> Manual -> Successful template" and "Choose template type -> Manual -> Failed template" drop-downs. Enter administrator email(s) in "Results settings -> Notification email(s)" parameter and select the mail template in "Template" parameter.

Thank you for the incredibly quick response, I do have those settings already in place but the questions are not staying in category order, see here for an example:

I see questions from category 1, 2, 3, & 4 and only one page of questions?

Could you provide a temporary access to your J! backend by email so we can check all settings?

I have just sent login access, thank you very much.

The quiz contains only one question category ("All questions" category) so all questions are shown on the same page.
