Can't access ARI Quiz Lite back-end 13 Years, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello there,

I've recently downloaded ARI Quiz Lite and i cant seem to access the control panel at the back-end.

When i tried to access the control panel all i get is a white screen with a 500 error indicating its a server problem.
As i dont have any extra information i cant seem to find the solution to this.

Anyone got an idea on how to fix this?

Hello,

Check web server error log that find more details about error. It helps find the reason of the problem.

It seems installator couldn't set writable permissions for the following folder:

<joomla_dir>/administrator/components/com_ariquizlite/cache/files

Set writable permissions for this folder and all sub-folders, please. It should help.

Thank you very much. Changing the permissions worked.
I've changed it to 777 for now since 750 didn't work. What would be a suitable permission?

You can try to use 0755 permissions for folder, but it can't work if you use Apache module like suPHP or PHP runs in safe_mode. In this case leave 0777 permissions.
