i notice in IE that the Dark Rounded theme for the lightbox ha the Close/X sort of cutoff on the bottom of the light box. However, in Firefox it is not. How do i fix this in IE?

if you scroll to the bottom and click on "Newsletter" or "Click here to receive daily emails." you get the lightbox.

Add the following CSS rule to site template CSS file:
