I have the ARI Image Slider on www.jimswebworx.com/joomla2. In some browsers I get a dark border to the left of my slider image. I use the same image for the background in the slide as well in my site background. Both images are .jpgs. This occurs in some browsers but not all. On mac it occurs on Safari and Firefox, but not Opera. See attached image.

Hello,

It doesn't seems as "ARI Image Slider" issue. It looks like a problem with showing background of your images into browsers.

OK. Is there a way to make it so my slider background is transparent. Previously I tried some clear background images but there was a off white background.

Transparent background can be used in GIF and PNG images. JPG format doesn't support transparent background.

OK. I changed the images to .png files and still get an off white background to the left of my slide. It should be transparent.

Background color is defined in your site template for "header-image" element. Add the following CSS rule to remove background color:

BODY #header-image
{
background-color: transparent;
}
