I have seen several threads that indicate jquery is to blame for this. I saw where you loaded a plugin that disabled jquery in the template, but I do not see this plugin on the site to download. The template I am using uses the T3 framework.

I have tried both Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 1.7. Both have the same effect. ARI extension will not even install into Joomla 1.5.

PS: "System - ARI Extensions" plugin is necessary only under Joomla! 1.6+. This fact is described in readme.txt file from extension's archive.

It just has the sample data installed, but at the top there are two links, Sexylightbox Lite and Fancybox. Sexylightbox lite works after I installed a jqeury plugin that pulls jquery from Googles API, but Fancybox still does not work. Fancybox has the look and function (clicking outside the box does NOT close the box), but the light version of sexyboxlight does not support that. If I have to, I can switch to the paid version of sexylightbox, but I have already paid for fancybox.

It can be a problem with T3 cache or javascript optimization. Check that "System - ARI Fancybox" plugin is enabled. If it doesn't help, could you provide us temporary access to your J! backend by email so we could investigate the issue?
